The 5 magic questions

  1. Who are you 2. What are you doing? 3. Who are you doing it for? 4. What do they get from you? 5. How do they change as a result of what you are doing?

Studies show that people who easily can answer this questions are much more likely satisfied and happy with them selves and with their life, so it´s definitely worth it´s time to be clear about these 5 questions.

1. WHO ARE YOU?
Maybe that is the most tricky question for many people to answer. I will give you some inspiration if you don´t know how to answer the question about who you really are.

Who are you as a person? What skills do you have, what do you love, what are your passionate about? What beliefs do you have? What is important to you? What characteristics do you have, both good and less good. I have found those questions very important for me through the years in many ways.

The more you know about yourself the more confident you will feel about who you are
and
what you are doing here on earth

2. WHAT DO YOU DO?
Think about the work you have now. What exactly is it you are doing?
For example; 1. I help other people to get physically and mentally stronger by workout, coaching, nutrition and healing.
2. I make webpages for companies 3.I am an editor at a newspaper 4. I sell cars  ets….

3. FOR WHO ARE YOU DOING IT?
Who is your costumers?

4. WHAT DO THEY GET OUT FROM IT?
What benefits do they get from your services? What is in it for them? What good do you do for them?

5. HOW DO THEY CHANGE as a result of what you are doing?
How do they feel? How do you affect them? In what way? What do you give to them? How do they change? Do you make their life or work situation easier, more fun, more effective, more happy… etc.

Notice that question nr 3-5 is questions about other people, not about you. You need to know who you are and what you are doing of course, but to be more happy and satisfied in life generally we need to think about what good we do to other people. That gives us a deeper meaning and a feeling that we are important. Because we ARE, everyone of us, but it´s so easy to forget sometimes that we actually do a lot of good for people around us, no matter what work you have or what you do. Think about it 🙂
